The Leddie Hotel & Restaurant, East Lothian

Lovely surroundings, have always past by as live locally. Didn't stay just popped in for breakfast. Tastefully decorated and inviting Had poached eggs with avocado on sourdough with pumpkin seeds.. Was nice but eggs over and a wee dressing would have finished the dish tomguve more flavour. My friend had the scrambled eggs with salmon. Unfortunately no butter for the bread. Was nice..but not memorable.

Absolutely first fantastic stay at The Leddie. (We have already booked another!) The bedrooms are lovely. Very comfy bed, great decor and furnishings, lovely shortbread treats. Very clean. Both breakfast and Dinner were top quality, and large portions, served beautifully. All staff throughout the hotel are friendly and helpful. The ambience and decor throughout the whole hotel is tasteful and very relaxing.

I feel like I've found a total gem of a hotel with The Leddie. We booked their dinner, bed and breakfast offer. What a treat! Everything was first class, from the fabulously warm welcome from reception, to the cosy rooms with home made shortbread, the friendly bar staff. And best of all is the food! I can honesty say it is some of the best food I've eaten for a long time. This is a fabulous hotel and the staff are an absolute credit to it. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We can't wait to come back!

Myself, my husband (who's birthday it was) and my mum had the Leddie Locals menu. The atmosphere in the restaurant was lovely: relaxing, peaceful, warm and friendly. Between the three of us we sampled the whole menu. It was all delicious, clearly skillfully conceived and prepared. The highlight, however, it has to be said, was our server James, who we all felt was an absolute credit to you: welcoming, helpful, unobtrusive but gently present and checking in on us during all courses: upon overhearing it was my husband's birthday, suggesting a special touch of a birthday brownie, which was very generous and kind. Thank you again - we look forward to returning.

Stayed at The Leddie over Hogmanay 2025 and had a fantastic experience. The hotel is lovely, genuinely dog-friendly, and has a really welcoming feel. The food was excellent and the service was brilliant throughout. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend it.

We booked the coastal retreat package which included dinner, a room and breakfast for a Saturday and we had a great time. Relaxed staff, nice place not far from Edinburgh and close to nice spots like North Berwick and Gullane. Restaurant was nice overall - good selection, really nice cocktails - although burger was not great, very dry.

We booked a nights stay with their Coastal Stay offer and it was worth it. Beautiful village that its located in and would've done some local walks if we were there for longer. The hotel is very modern and beautiful. Parking is round the back, space for 5/6 cars. The room was nice and had what we needed. The 3 course dinner was delicious and fresh. The portions were perfect to get us through all 3 courses without feeling like we'd overdone it. I had the scallops, lamb and mille fueille. We also got a drink each as part of the offer and enjoyed a cocktail eacch. The cocktails were great, as was the wine. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The final bonus was the included breakfast. Table service and spoilt for choice. I had the Leddie McMuffin and it was perfect to set me up for the day. Will be recommending to others as it was a perfect break for us.

We opted for a Monday night stay with dinner bed and breakfast, in the middle of November. The hotel was empty, but the staff were excellent, the food was everything we hoped for and the room was very comfortable. The added touches enhanced the experience nicely, shortbread in the room, welcome drink from the extensive selection in the bar and the transformation to Christmas livery overnight, (which I am sure was just for us).
